Research Interests:

Bioorganic chemistry. Mechanisms of phosphotransferases. Synthesis of biophosphate analogs as inhibitors and probes of enzyme mechanism. Isolation, structure determination and synthesis of novel phosphoinositides. Study and generalization of self-organization and phase behavior of amphiphilic molecules to develop new materials not found in nature.
