Research Interests:
Major research interests are in the areas of collaborative drug discovery from higher plants, which include the acquisition of source materials through good agriculture and field collection practice (GACP) and the bioassay-directed phytochemical isolation and biology of potentially active antitumor, cancer chemopreventive, anti-malarial, and anti-TB agents; of qualitative and quantitative QA/QC of natural products and herbal medicine; of standardization of botanical dietary supplements and traditional herbal medicines; of basic and translational evidence-based traditional herbal medicine; and of monographing medicinal plants; of development of pharmacopoeia and standards for medicinal plants
